Asking your photographer for the right file
Request the full-size version of your favourite shots rather than a web copy or a screenshot. Lace, a veil edge and the petals of a bouquet only survive in a sharp file. If the best expression is in one frame and the best setting in another, send both and explain what to take from each.
Details to mention in your request
- The cut and fabric of the dress, and the veil if there was one
- The suit or outfit, and the colour of the tie or sash
- The flowers in the bouquet and the buttonholes
- The place: a garden, a church, a beach or a courtyard
If you choose a stretched or framed finish, the frame and stretcher bars are made by the collective’s own woodworking artisans.
A portrait for an anniversary
Many couples order the painting years after the day, as a gift to each other. Send the wedding photos and add a recent picture if you want the two of you to look as you do now. Say which one decides the faces.
