Shipping & Returns
Every oil painting from Artwork Vietnam is painted by hand by a senior artist of our collective in Binh Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City, and every archival canvas print is printed, never painted; each order travels to you from Vietnam. This page explains exactly what happens between your order and the moment the artwork hangs on your wall, and what to do if it is not right.
1. Free Worldwide Shipping
Shipping is free to every country we serve, on every order, with no minimum. The price you see on the product page is the price you pay. There are no handling charges and no surcharges for larger canvases or for framing.
2. Delivery Time
Painting time for the hand-painted oil: 2 to 4 weeks. Archival canvas print: 2 to 4 business days. Delivery once shipped: 5 to 7 business days, free and tracked worldwide by express courier (UPS or DHL).
Your painting does not sit in a warehouse waiting to be picked: it is created for you after you order, then packed and shipped. For a hand-painted oil, the painting time is the larger part of the wait.
If anything is going to take longer than expected, we tell you rather than let the date pass in silence.
3. Preview Before Shipping
Before your painting leaves the studio we send you photographs of the finished piece. If something is not what you hoped for, tell us then and we will work on it before it ships. This is the easiest moment to change something, and it costs you nothing.
4. Packaging
Rolled canvases travel in a rigid tube. Stretched and framed pieces travel in a purpose-built box with corner protection. Every parcel is tracked, and we send you the tracking number as soon as it is issued.
5. Customs, Duties and Taxes
Our prices are shown in US dollars and do not include any local import duties, VAT or customs charges. Because your artwork ships from Vietnam, your own country may apply such charges when it arrives, and those are payable by you as the recipient.
We would rather say this plainly here than have you discover it at the door. The amount depends on where you live and on the declared value; your national customs authority publishes the rates.
6. Returns Within 30 Days
If the artwork is not right for you, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price.
To start a return, email us at contact@artworkvietnam.com with your order number. We will confirm the return address before you send anything, so please do not ship the piece back until you hear from us.
Return shipping is arranged and paid for by you. We refund the full price you paid for the artwork once it reaches us in its original condition. We are a small collective shipping worldwide, and covering return freight from every country is not something we can honestly promise, so we do not pretend otherwise.
Please pack the piece as carefully as we did. A returned artwork damaged in transit cannot be refunded in full, so we recommend a tracked service.
7. Damaged or Incorrect Orders
This is different from a change of mind, and so is our answer. If your artwork arrives damaged, or is not what you ordered, we replace it or refund you in full at our own cost. You do not pay return shipping in that case.
If your order arrives damaged, let us know within 30 days of delivery and send photos of the damage. Send the photos to contact@artworkvietnam.com. The photographs are what let us claim against the carrier, which is why we ask for them quickly.
8. Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of the return arriving. Your bank may take a few days more to show it. We email you when the refund leaves our side, so you are not left guessing.
