The archival canvas print shows the same image, printed rather than painted, so its surface is flat. Both versions come rolled, on a wooden stretcher, or framed.

Worn yellow plaster fills much of the upper part of the picture, patched and uneven, with a brown wooden door, dark doorways and a small green lattice window. Terracotta roof tiles show along the roof edge.
Below the bank, the golden yellow of the facade is echoed in the water as long, broken bands, cut by darker ripples. A wooden boat in brown tones rests on the surface, and the figure in it wears a conical hat and dark blue clothing.
Along the bank, a motorbike carries riders in pale clothes, and a figure with a shoulder pole and baskets is near a doorway. Another figure in a magenta top is nearby. They are painted small against the wall, so the yellow stays the main subject.
The golden yellow and terracotta brown warm a room quickly, while the dark brown ripples in the lower water keep the yellow from feeling flat. It suits a living room with cream, white or soft grey walls, where the yellow becomes the single strong colour.
The wide, horizontal composition of long yellow facade above rippled reflections sits well above a sofa or a long sideboard.
They are broken up. The yellow facade drops into the water as wavering bands of gold, interrupted by darker ripples, so the lower half reads as movement rather than a clear copy of the buildings.
Aged. The yellow plaster is uneven, with darker patches and worn areas, and the door is plain brown wood. That weathering gives the wall its depth.
They are small. The boat is a brown shape low on the water and the figures are compact touches of dark blue, magenta and pale clothing, so they add scale without pulling attention from the golden wall.
