The archival canvas print shows the same image, printed rather than painted, so its surface is flat. Both versions come rolled, on a wooden stretcher, or framed.

The river fills most of the picture, and the wooden boats spread across it in loose groups, some close together, others drifting apart. Figures in hats stand or sit among the goods in the boats. The hulls are mostly brown, with touches of blue, and they stand out against the water, which takes on the gold of the sky.
Palm trees in layered green run along the bank, and the sun sits low behind them, lighting the cloud-streaked sky. Small ripples catch that light all over the water. The brushstrokes stay loose and visible, so the glow reads as soft and shimmering rather than sharp.
The wide format and the gold in the rippling water make this a good fit for a long wall, such as a hallway or a dining room with cream or warm white walls. The gold sits well against those pale tones, while the palm trees add a deep, calm green.
The brown boats ground the colour, so the picture does not feel too sweet next to pale wood or linen. Against cool grey walls, the gold becomes the single warm focus in the room.
The boats are loaded with goods in green, red and yellow, painted as small patches of colour. They give the hulls a lively note, though they read as shapes rather than as identifiable items.
The figures are small and shown in hats. They read as simple shapes of clothing and movement, so they add life to the river without pulling attention from the light.
The distant bank shows palm trees and a few huts by the water, fading into pale light. This gives the river depth and keeps the busiest detail in the boats.
