What can I send as a reference?+
Photos from a phone or camera, scans of old prints, or screenshots, as long as faces and details are in focus. You can add a few written lines about what you want.
What sizes and finishes can I choose?+
Write the size you have in mind in the form and the quote is for that size. You can choose a rolled canvas, a canvas stretched on a frame, or a framed painting.
How long does it take?+
Once you accept the quote, painting takes 2 to 4 weeks. After it ships, delivery takes 5 to 7 business days.
Who makes the frames?+
The stretcher bars and the frames are made by the wood artisans of the collective.
How is it delivered?+
Shipping costs you nothing. The parcel goes by UPS or DHL with a tracking number.
Can I ask for changes?+
Yes. Revisions are unlimited on custom orders: tell us what to change and we adjust the painting.
What if I'm not happy with the result?+
You can return the painting within 30 days for a full refund. The customer pays the return shipping.
Can you paint my photo faithfully without copying a famous artist's style?+
Yes. Choose the faithful, neutral direction and the studio will preserve the people, setting, colours and proportions of your reference while translating it into a hand-painted oil painting.
Can I request a more artistic interpretation?+
Yes. Choose the creative direction and describe the mood, palette and brushwork you want. Your quote confirms what is feasible before any painting begins.
Can you combine several photographs in one painting?+
Yes. Several reference photographs can be combined into one coherent composition. Mention who or what must appear, the preferred background and any details that must not be changed.
Will I see the painting before it ships?+
Yes. When your painting is finished, we send you a photo of it before it ships. If anything needs adjusting, we correct it before the painting is dispatched.
