The archival canvas print shows the same image, printed rather than painted, so its surface is flat. Both versions come rolled, on a wooden stretcher, or framed.

Small boats with figures and long oars sit dark against the water, and a fishing net trails behind one of them. Beyond them, boats with sails spread out toward the horizon, getting smaller and paler as they go.
The sun leaves a bright path of reflection on the surface. Loose, visible brushstrokes break the water into soft bands of gold and brown.
The sky is the largest part of the picture: golden amber near the sun, dusky pink and soft mauve in the clouds. Dark rocky islands rise in the distance and close the scene with a hazy edge.
The sails and islands share a deep brown that anchors the warm sky and keeps the glow from looking flat.
The golden amber and dusky pink suit walls in cream, warm white or soft beige, where the sky reads as a gentle glow. In a living room with wood furniture, the dark brown boats echo the tones in the room.
The wide, horizontal format fits above a sofa or a sideboard, and the calm water gives a restful feel.
They are painted as small dark figures, some in hats, holding long oars. Their shapes read clearly, but faces are not defined, which keeps the focus on the boats and the light.
The sun is a small glowing spot just above the horizon, set among the golden clouds. What stands out more is its reflection, a bright trail across the water that draws the eye into the scene.
Not entirely. The farthest islands soften into haze, while the nearer rocky islands stay dark and defined. The sails keep a dark, readable shape as they recede across the water.
