The archival canvas print shows the same image, printed rather than painted, so its surface is flat. Both versions come rolled, on a wooden stretcher, or framed.

The wall fills the upper part of the picture in mustard yellow, its plaster flaking into patches of orange, olive and brown. A dark wooden door and a small window with a green lattice grille break up the surface and give the eye a place to rest.
Below it, a small wooden boat lies on the water with a figure in a conical hat and an olive green top. The boat’s reddish hull is the warmest, most solid shape against all that yellow.
The water carries the wall’s colour down in soft, rippling bands of yellow and amber. Where the door and boat are mirrored, the reflections turn deep blue and brown, so the lower part of the picture is as rich as the wall above.
The brushstrokes are loose and visible, which keeps the wall looking weathered and the water looking gently moving.
The mustard yellow and deep brown work best against cream, warm white or soft grey walls, where the gold can stand out. In a living room or a study, the plaster and the golden water bring sunlight colour without needing other bright accents nearby.
The landscape format suits a wide space above a sofa, a desk or a sideboard, with the wooden boat anchoring the lower edge.
It is gentle. The surface shows soft horizontal ripples, and the wall's yellow and the door's dark tones are reflected in soft ripples across the water.
No. The figure wears a conical hat and an olive green top, and is kept small and simple, so the focus stays on the boat, the water and the wall.
It is worn. Patches of orange, olive and brown show through the mustard plaster, so the wall has variation and does not read as one flat colour.
It is a small wooden boat with a reddish hull and a blue interior. White fenders hang along its side, and they stand out against the reddish hull and golden water.
