The archival canvas print shows the same image, printed rather than painted, so its surface is flat. Both versions come rolled, on a wooden stretcher, or framed.

The rice field fills the lower two thirds of this horizontal canvas as shallow water broken by islands of green. In the centre right, a buffalo with pale curved horns walks through the water with its head lowered. Beside it a farmer in a conical hat and dark clothes bends forward, holding a bunch of green seedlings.
Behind them the paddies flatten into bands of yellow and green that run toward low hills. The hills on the right are blue-green and softened by mist. At the left the sun sits low under peach and cream clouds.
The paint is laid on in short, loaded dabs that stay visible. Lavender and violet fill the water, lime and yellow-green mark the shoots, and peach and gold carry the sky. The same pinks and purples appear in the clouds and in the puddles below, so sky and ground read as one light.
Dark brown touches define the buffalo and the farmer’s clothes. They are the strongest darks in the picture and draw the eye to the middle of the scene.
The landscape format and pale, cool-warm palette suit rooms with natural daylight, such as a bedroom, a dining room or a quiet hallway. Walls in cream, soft grey or sage sit well with the lavender and green. The small figures keep the mood gentle rather than busy.
The farmer, in a conical hat and dark clothes, bends forward and holds a bunch of green seedlings just above the water, next to the buffalo.
The sun is low at the left, under peach and cream clouds. Its light spreads across the water as gold and lavender reflections.
The water is mostly lavender, violet and pale blue, broken by lime green and yellow patches of shoots and grass.
Yes. Cream, soft grey and sage walls sit well with it, as do bright rooms where the lavender and green can pick up daylight.
