The story behind this artwork.

Terracotta tiers between red leaves and bare branches

The pagoda climbs in narrow tiers, each with arched windows and a darker roofline, and its terracotta and cream walls catch warm sun. A low grey stone base with steps anchors it to the ground.

Orange and red autumn leaves hang across the upper corners like a loose canopy, while pale bare branches cross the lower part of the tower. Blue sky shows through the gaps between them.

Green lawn and blue sky cool the warm tower

The green lawn runs across the bottom in short, bright strokes, and the blue sky behind the tower balances all the orange and terracotta. The warm colours stay in charge, but they never feel heavy.

A tall format that lets orange leaves glow

The tall upright format suits a narrow stretch of wall or a spot beside a doorway. Soft white, warm cream or light stone walls leave the terracotta tower and orange leaves to carry the colour. A living room or a quiet study works well, where the green lawn adds a fresh note against neutral furniture.

FAQ

Can I see windows and doors on the tower?

Yes. Each tier has arched windows, and the lowest level shows a dark doorway reached by a few stone steps. They are painted as dark shapes with warm edges, readable but not sharply detailed.

Are the trees in front of the tower or behind it?

The bare pale branches cross in front of the lower tiers, while the orange and red leaves frame the upper part from the sides. The tower still reads clearly through the gaps.

Is the lawn a major part of the picture?

It is a narrow band of bright green at the bottom, painted in short strokes. It gives the eye a cool resting place under the warm tower and trees.
