Curated Collections
Beach and coast paintings of Vietnam show curving shores, leaning palms, turquoise water and wooden boats, with Phu Quoc at the centre of many views. Around the sand sit craft scenes, a night street grill and a sea turtle under the surface. Two formats are offered for every image: a hand-painted oil or a printed canvas.
Phu Quoc sand, palms and low sun
Several paintings are set on Phu Quoc. In one, a low sun turns the clouds peach and violet above a curving shore, with a wooden boat resting by the trees and turquoise waves carrying gold light toward a dark headland. Another shows a single palm bending over pale sand, with a cream sky and a thin amber line at the horizon in a quiet, open landscape format. A third has pairs of figures in conical hats walking a curving white beach past moored wooden boats, with teal water catching orange light.
Fishing bays, boat builders and the grill at night
One painting shows round boats floating on a calm, pale bay below thatched huts and palms, with figures in conical hats beside baskets on the sand. Another has five craftsmen in conical hats shaping a wooden hull in the rain, grey mist and teal water around warm brown planks. Both the round-boat bay and the boat builders also hang in Boats. A night street scene moves inland from the water: a woman in black bends over a glowing charcoal grill with three prawns and a silver fish, under a teal awning and a string of round orange and yellow lanterns. People at work like these also appear in Daily Life.
Sea colours on a wall
Turquoise and teal run through many of these paintings, set against cream sand, pale sky or grey rain mist. A sunset beach in peach and gold would sit well on a pale wall. The sea turtle painting, built from thick, energetic strokes in slanting gold light, brings turquoise water to a plain white wall.
