Mustard and ochre walls in Hoi An, lantern streets at dusk, Saigon palaces on green lawns, wild sunflowers in Da Lat and golden rice are what yellow wall art shows on this page. Each image can be ordered painted by hand in oil, or as an archival canvas print.
Yellow walls and lantern light in Hoi An
Hoi An is the place shown most often. In one lane, mustard walls rise on both sides of shining blue paving, and a figure in a conical hat heads for the far end. Another painting puts a yellow plaster doorway under a tiled roof, with basket sellers at the step. After dark the yellow turns to lamplight: a crowd moves through a street of red, orange and green lanterns, and the wet cobbles return the golden shopfronts. For lantern-only pieces, see Lanterns.
Saigon lawns, Da Lat flowers and golden grain
The Saigon view here is a pale palace with a red flag, set behind a round green lawn with orange tree crowns crowding both sides. Pale colonial buildings like this also hang in French Colonial, and the wider colonial-era streets and halls sit in Indochine.
Yellow wild sunflowers fill a misty Da Lat slope, and on the dirt path a tiny figure in a conical hat heads toward a pale golden glow. A pink blossom tree takes the upper left of a square canvas, with an ochre villa and green shutters at the end of a garden path where figures in ao dai walk. Golden rice carries the same colour into the countryside.
Quiet yellow or busy yellow on the wall
For a quieter wall, the sunflower hillside and the blossom villa are both square canvases with only a few small figures. The mustard lane has a single walker and no crowd. The lantern street, with its crowd and strong colour, is the busier choice for a wall that should carry the room.
